Well, I hate to brag….but my friends say I’m pretty good at Scrabble. Just ask my newly defeated pals DeeDee, Jenn and Lacey. (big smile on my face!) Sooo, today’s project was inspired by our recent game AND even more specifically, by a present that someone gave the aforementioned DeeDee of AdoredAustin.com. She has actually committed to playing 365 days of Scrabble….so glad I could help her out in that endeavor….and she received two bracelets from a pal. I loved them so much, I just HAD to make my own.
The bracelets come with 8 “slots” to hold 8 of whatever you desire. It was hard for me to settle on my 8 letters – I really wanted to do something with the kids’ names but that proved hopeless, so I went with the generic last name…however, I luckily made it MY last name, so yay, I’ll be able to wear it! Snaps to me!
In addition, I made a ring with my first initial and I made Ellie a hair clip with hers. I also have cuff links, but Jonathan says “NO WAY!”
Leave me a comment with a suggestion for what to put on another bracelet…how to use the 8 spaces, and on Friday I’ll randomly pick a winner and I’ll make you that bracelet…or your hubs a set of cuff links! (Don’t pick “X” “O” b/c I ‘m missing my X!) OR – feel free to offer suggestions on how to embelish those blanks on MY bracelet!
Oops, I almost forgot! Details….
I bought the blank bracelets here for about $2/each. (you’ll see these soon with covered buttons!) I used scrabble tiles left over from an old game (Snaps to my sexy husband for the new Scrabble Game!). I had the rings and the hair clips left over from other projects…but usually those cost about $0.25/each. Then, I hotglued the tile right onto the space. Oh My Ridiculous, that was easy!
Cost: Total for all 4 pieces (bracelet, ring, and hairclip) = a whopping $2.50. ….. Where’s MY snaps people!

Jk… a cool scrabble word would be ideal. Like Serendipity (too long, I know) or a Latin phrase like carpe diem… again too long. Epic fail lol.

Woo hoo! Thanks for the shout-out over here! I love my Scrabble bracelets but… three of my tiles fell off! Sad face. Let’s see… if I were to win a Parsimony Scrabble bracelet, mine would say SCRABBLE. Or INDIANA(blank). :0)
