While I’ve still not made an official “return” to blogging regularly, I have been DIY’ing regularly. Gosh, am I starting to sound like a broken record???
Today’s post will consist of 3 things – the most recent dress I made for Ellie, details about a “Crafty Night” at my house in June…all are welcome! (within reason!), and a little word about my new Etsy shop.
Last night, I was supposed to be finishing bridesmaids dresses…but me and my undiagnosed ADD just couldn’t do another one for a bit….so I dug up this fabric I’ve been holding onto for a few months. It’s a darling HEART fabric that I bought from Ikea – $7 for 3 yards. awesome!
I made this dress straight from the pattern – it’s supposed to be big, but truthfully, I think it’s a little too big. If I make another one, I’ll definitely go down a size or two. Regardless, this is a very easy dress if you’re comfortable with gathers and binding.
This is definitely more “girlie” than I usually make for Ellie, but I’m feeling a trend coming on. I know something must be working because she even let me do something with her hair today! This dress must have magical powers!!!
Time: 45 minutes
Cost: about $5
