I love sewing!
Let’s see….what else to say….I have been married for 8 years to Jonathan the Great and have 2 wonderful children. Owen was born in September 2005 and Ellie was born in February of 2007. So, yes, I’m very tired!
I started sewing during my first year of marriage because I selfishly wanted curtains that no one else had. All of my friends, having just gotten married, had homes full of Target, Walmart and Potterybarn curtains (if they could afford them!). I wanted something with more flair that couldn’t be recognized by a store catalog.
So, I took lessons through a Joann’s store in the midwest. The lessons were horrible, but my upstairs neighbor was kind enough to come down and explain what I didn’t quite comprehend from my teacher. Regardless, I have been sewing like a madwoman ever since. I understand that by some standards I haven’t been sewing very long. However, let me assure you that I have sewn more and read more books and taken
more classes during these 8 years than most have done in their entire life!!!! My husband can vouch for that!
